Renewable energy expertise built over nearly 20 years

A Northern Ireland family business helping homes and organisations across the UK and Ireland take greater control of their energy.

Solmatix is one of Northern Ireland’s leading renewable energy specialists.

For nearly 20 years, we have designed, installed and supported renewable energy systems for homeowners, businesses, public sector organisations, developers and major infrastructure projects.

From individual home installations to complex, multi-site and megawatt-scale projects, every Solmatix system is supported by experienced people committed to quality, safety and long-term performance.

We combine the personal service and accountability of a family business with the technical expertise and delivery capability required to undertake renewable energy projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

Company

Local roots.

Proven experience.
Wider capability.

Solmatix was established with a clear purpose: to help customers make practical and effective use of renewable energy.

Since then, renewable technologies have changed considerably, but our approach has remained consistent. We take the time to understand the customer, the site and the energy requirements before developing a solution.

Today, Solmatix supports homeowners, commercial businesses, agricultural customers, contractors, developers and public sector organisations across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Great Britain.

Our experience spans solar PV, battery energy storage, EV charging and long-term system aftercare. These solutions can be delivered individually or combined to provide a more connected approach to how energy is generated, stored and used.

Helping customers
Own Their Power

Energy affects every home, organisation
and community. It influences household budgets, business operating costs, long-term resilience and progress towards environmental objectives.

Our ‘Own Your Power’ approach is about giving customers greater control.  For a homeowner, that could mean generating electricity from their own roof, storing surplus energy and buying less from the grid.

For a business, it could mean reducing exposure to changing energy costs, strengthening energy resilience and making measurable progress towards carbon-reduction targets.  For an agricultural customer, it could mean turning available roof or land into a productive energy asset.

Whatever the project, our role is to provide the expertise, technology and long-term support customers need to make informed decisions about their energy future.

Our Story

Nearly 20 years of renewable energy experience

Solmatix has grown alongside the renewable energy sector, developing the knowledge and capability required to deliver projects of increasing scale and complexity.

From our beginnings in Northern Ireland, we have expanded our work across the UK and Ireland while remaining committed to the personal service and long-term relationships associated with a family-run business.

Over nearly two decades, we have completed thousands of installations across homes, commercial properties, manufacturing facilities, public buildings, healthcare and education estates, housing developments and major infrastructure sites.

This experience allows us to understand both the potential and the practical challenges of renewable energy. We know that successful projects depend on more than the technology selected. They require careful assessment, appropriate design, experienced installation, effective project management and dependable support after commissioning.

Our Approach

Designed around the customer

Every project begins with a clear understanding of the property, energy profile, operational requirements and long-term objectives.

Our team then identifies the technologies and system design most likely to deliver meaningful value. We explain the options clearly, manage the technical detail and remain accountable throughout the project.

This approach allows us to deliver renewable energy systems suited to the people and organisations that will depend
on them.
