Solmatix crowned Fast Growth Business of the Year at Business Eye Awards 2026

Leading renewable energy company recognised for exceptional business growth, investment and expansion across the UK and Ireland

Northern Ireland renewable energy company Solmatix is celebrating after being named Fast Growth Business of the Year at the prestigious Business Eye Awards 2026, held last night (Thursday 22 October).

The award, sponsored by Bauer Media Group, recognises local businesses that have demonstrated significant growth in turnover and employment, highlighting Solmatix’s continued success as one of the region’s leading renewable energy companies.

The accolade marks another significant milestone for Solmatix, which has experienced an impressive period of growth and expansion under the leadership of Managing Director Neville Bell, who took ownership back of the business in September 2023.

Over the past three years, Solmatix has achieved a 91% increase in turnover, with annual revenues reaching £12 million for the financial year ending August 2025. The company has also created 14 additional jobs, strengthening its in-house expertise and capacity to deliver increasingly complex renewable energy projects.

During this period, Solmatix has completed more than 750 solar installations, delivering approximately 39MW of renewable energy capacity across commercial, industrial, public sector and residential projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

The company’s continued growth has been driven by increasing demand for renewable energy solutions, strategic investment in its people and capabilities, and the development of key partnerships and major project opportunities.

Solmatix has also secured appointments to significant procurement frameworks, including the £8 million West Mercia Energy Solar PV Framework, further strengthening its position within the UK renewable energy market.
